The Franklin Food Pantry is hosting a workshop on Nonprofit Lifecycles Capacity Building on Wednesday, July 10, 2024

In order for nonprofits to do their important work, they must be strong, capable and durable. In this interactive workshop you'll discover a straightforward assessment tool that looks not only at your programs, but also the requisite management, board, systems, and financial elements that support those programs. The Nonprofit Lifecycles™ Capacity Building model diagnoses your organization's current capacity, sets realistic and achievable goals for growth and sustainable impact, and offers practical tools and strategies to improve your organization's performance.

The workshop will be presented by Heidi Holtz of Stillwork Coaching and Consulting, a Certified Lifecycles Capacity Consultant.

There is no cost to attend, the course is being funded through a grant.

The training will take place from 12:00 to 3:00 PM on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 in Franklin.

Space is limited, please contact Laura Doherty at LDoherty@franklinfoodpantry.org by Thursday, June 13th to RSVP.

We hope you can join us!

Query from the Franklin Food Pantry for FANN for assistance with food shopping rides

Marsha Tait, Director Of Development with the Franklin Food Pantry sent this:

"We have an inquiry for the FANN – wondering if any of the agencies gives rides to people for grocery shopping etc.?  Some of our clients do not have transportation and GATRA can be very inconvenient (due to long wait times).
We are looking for assistance for people who shop by appointment in particular – thinking a ride here, max. 1 hour shopping time, a ride home.  Currently on Thursday and Friday mornings only."

If any of the Franklin Area Nonprofit Network organizations can help in this regard, feel free to contact me ( shersteve at gmail dot com) or Marsha directly (mtait at franklinfoodpantry dot org)

The use of the #FranklinCAN hashtag is growing!

  • The Empty Bowls event is using it = #FranklinCANFillEmptyBowls

There was a write up in the Franklin Town Online news sharing what we have posted here previously to help spread the word. Direct link to PDF of the April edition -> https://locable-assets-production.s3.amazonaws.com/uploads/resource/file/909619/2022_04_franklin.pdf

Two things remain to be acted upon!

  1. As your organization's social media account sees a posting with the #FranklinCAN hashtag, please share it
  2. Consider how your organization can use the hashtag to help spread the word on your work, event, etc.
